The Asheville-Buncombe Homeless Initiative will be holding meetings in Firestorm Cafe each Friday starting at 10:00 am during the month of February to hear the stories about the issue of homelessness from Asheville residents.
“Our intent is to discuss the experience of homelessness in the comfortable backdrop of a coffee shop,” says Amy Sawyer, coordinator for the Initiative. “As we look at the best ways to support people experiencing a housing crisis, we are always seeking input and feedback!”
Firestorm Cafe is located at 48 Commerce St. in downtown Asheville. For information concerning the Asheville-Buncombe Homeless Initiative contact Amy Sawyer at 828.259.5851 or asawyer@ashevillenc.gov
